Heidi Day 2

I'll start with my confession- at the end of Day 1 I was super hungry (I don't think I ate enough during the day) and the Greek yogurt I planned on eating didn't sound appealing, so I ate an orange... then two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. At least they were on whole wheat bread and the jam was organic, right? although the second one was very heavily spread...

Today I started strong with avocado on two pieces of sprouted grain toast, plain Greek yogurt with a little stevia and a handful of thawed frozen strawberries. It took me all morning to eat it though so by the time lunch rolled around I wasn't hungry. So I just had an orange.

Then I started a new book. It was an incredible book (I know because I just finished it!) I couldn't put it down! My house is a wreck and we had frozen chicken nuggets and edamame for dinner. At least the nuggets were Tyson brand and oven-baked instead of fried, right? I dipped mine in about a tablespoon of ranch dressing.

See how easily I can justify? It's a bad habit. So Jason got back home late tonight and he's bringing 6 dozen doughnuts for his field trip tomorrow. From Mary's Doughnuts. Earlier on the phone I asked him to save me one and I fully planned on eating it until I saw Katie's new post show up in my email. So thank you Katie, you saved my skin. And I wouldn't have put it past my middle of the night mindset to sneak out to his car to eat a few more on the sly, but since I've been reminded that I committed to full disclosure here that's so not happening now.

I felt the fringes of a sugar withdrawal headache towards the end of the day and it's still lingering, so I know the detox drink I nursed all day helped keep it from being a full-blown skull-splitter.

Still haven't made the menu that I know will help me... but tomorrow is my day off so here's hoping I don't get too distracted with another amazing book!

(The book was Pimpernel by Sheralyn Pratt by the way, in case you were curious)
