Shelley: Day 7 - Water, it's your friend!

Of course day seven would be Valentine's Day.  A day completely dedicated to the exchange of candy.  In an effort to keep myself on the straight and narrow I got my kids one treat each and then Star Wars and Princess Books as well as Star Wars and Princess socks.  The kids did not miss the candy and neither did I.  I got a box of heart junior mints for myself and my husband and I had three of them today and will spread them out.

We usually decorate sugar cookies on V-Day so I made them, made the frosting and then walked away and let my husband do it with my kids.  I know I'm not equal to that kind of temptation and I could kill my entire week with ten minutes of constant buttercream eating.  I'm so glad I did.  My kids got to do what they love, my husband had to clean up for me (so I wouldn't be licking spoons, etc).  It's was great!

I'm so ready to go work out tomorrow.  I prefer days when I work out because I don't have to be as careful with what I eat and I just feel good!

TODAY'S TIP:  Water, it's your friend!
Water, water, water!!!  Water is calorie free, good for your metabolism, and great for your skin!  Lots of people drink a glass of water before every meal to help them feel fuller before they even get too far into their food.  I try to drink at least one liter of water while I work out.  That's my time to get it down.  With kids, I find it's kind of pain to haul water for all three of them and myself so I fit it in during my "me" workout time.

Hopefully, everyone else had a great day!! I'm excited to read all about it!

Until tomorrow. . .
