Katie Day 5
First off I want to give a big shout out to Shelley! Way to stay strong!
I can't believe we are already on day 5 and I am feeling good! I'm so glad we started this because it helped me behave as we were traveling in the car all day long! I made sure to pack good snacks and I brought stuff to make sandwiches so that I wouldn't be tempted to stop by a fast food place and indulge. We left early this morning so we grabbed breakfast on the road. We went to einsteins so yes it wasn't the best choice, I asked for the smear to be on the side but they put it on the bagel, so I scraped a big chunk of it off!  I was so proud of myself. The kiddos didn't want to finish their bagels and I usually much on their leftovers but today I didn't and I didn't even want to.  When I wanted to much on the road I ate cantaloupe, although I don't know how much cantaloupe I had since I didn't bring a measuring cup, but still I feel better about eating that instead of cookies. For lunch I made sandwiches on the road and had half a turkey sandwich with 2 oz of turkey and a wedge of laughing cow cheese.  For dinner my dad suggested Litzas Pizza and I love pizza but I suggested we go to sweet tomatoes instead and we did. I was very well behaved at sweet tomatoes and only ate a salad with a lite dressing and no bread. I actually don't know where I stand on my calorie count today cause I didn't track it since we were on the road and I didn't have the nutrition facts in front of me. The only thing I did track was my bagel so I know for breakfast I had 400 cal.
Sorry if this post doesn't make much sense but we have been traveling all day and it's 11:30 and I am exhausted. So I am going to hit the hay! But I feel good about today cause I didn't junk it on the road which is a huge feat for me!!
