Katie Day 1
Wahoo I survived day one and I must say that I did good today! I remember back to a few years ago when Shelly and I first started doing this kind of thing and my first day wasn't so great. I got so upset with myself and the fact that I had gotten to the pont that I needed to diet that I ate waaay to many miniature candy bars. This time around I was more prepared and in a healthier frame of mind! I got rid of my trigger foods this weekend and went shopping so that when cravings hit I would be prepared to bat them off in a healthy way. I always seem to have a tough time in the middle of the afternoon, usually a few hours before the hubs gets home from work. So today when I started to get the munchies I ate a skinny cow snack pack and then a little while later a cutie. YAY me:) I also drank alot of water, not an overkill amount but I stayed nice and hydrated with good ol H2O! I like to exercise at night after the kiddos are in bed cause I refuse to loose sleep in the morning just to sweat. I will never be one to get up early for anything expecially exercise :) I have come down with a cold and so tonight as I sat on my recliner and watched some NCIS I decided that I wasn't going to exercise. However I had Caitie in the back of my mind saying that she went to Zumba today and so I knew that I coudn't wuse out so I got up and did some Ballet and situps. It felt great!!! and NCIS was a faithful companion through it all :) Here is my breakdown of food and calories consumed today :
My goal is to eat 1300 calories a day
On a side note, calorie counting works for me and I love it but I wanted to give a shout out to Caitie and Heidi and let them know that whatever works for you is great on this blog. So if you aren't calorie counting thats a-okay. We are here to give support and I am anxious to hear from everyone and get ideas from all of you!

Breakfast - You will come to see that I don't like to think in the morning and that there is really only one thing that makes me feel good at breakfast time and that is Cheerios so most days my breakfast will be the same as always
Calories - 130 calories
Cheerios - 1 cup - 103 cal
1% Milk - 1/4 cup - 28 cal
Lunch - 452 calories
Homemade Chicken Taquito - 1 tortilla - 382 cal (these are so good and I wanted to have them tomorrow as well but I forgot to put the leftovers back into the fridge :(
Sliced Raw Carrots - 50 grams - 20 cal
Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge - 1 - 50 cal
Dinner - 436 calories
Spaghetti - 84 g - 315 cal
Alfredo Sauce - 1/2 cup - 90 cal
Steamed Broccoli - 1 cup - 31 cal
Snacks - 280 calories
Skinny Cow Luscious Bites - 1 pouch - 120 cal
Cutie - 1 - 40 cal
Strawberry non fat Greek Yogurt - 1 - 120
Total Calories Consumed today - 1299
Calories burned from exercise - 144
