Katie Day 8
Ok Ladies I am back and although I didn't post the last two days I have good news to share - I was well behaved on my trip!  We had a wonderful time and although I was tempted to eat poorly I remained strong, yay me!  I didn't calculate all my calories but I choose small portions and didn't eat junk food.  At the Ball, (which was absolutley lovely) I had half of my portobello mushroom dinner and some salad, half the dinner roll, and didn't touch the chocolate cake!  I did calculate my calories up until that time and so I went into that dinner with 612 calories remaining plus we danced the night away and so we tracked that too and according to my fitness pal even if we only danced for 1 1/2 hours I burned at least 603 calories!  And dancing is my FAVORITE way to burn calories, Especially Because I have the BEST dance partner in all the world!  I was also pretty well behved on Sunday as we drove home.  I am very proud of that fact because I was sad to leave my mom and dad and the weekend behind, but I didn't eat my feelings and when I wanted to splurge I grabbed some melon and ate that.  I did have 2 pepperidge farm Milano cookies and 2 mini 3 musketeers 9you know the bite size ones that are little and square)
As we were driving home last night I knew that today would be a hard day and I would want to snack, so I planned ahead and asked Heidi to go walking with me.  This morning I didn't want to get out of bed and tried to come up with a good excuse at to why I couldn't go for a walk, but I knew that I couldn't let Heidi down and so I got ready and met Heidi for our walk (Thanks Heidi for keeping me motivated today!) Because I went for a walk this morning I felt good about myself and so I didn't want to make poor eating choices!
Here is my Food Breakdown for today

Breakfast = 240 calories
1/2 oatmeal - 150
1 cup Vanilla Almond Milk - 60 (Lower in calories than milk and adds a super yummy sweetness to the oatmeal. Thanks for the idea Heidi!)
2 tsp Brown Sugar - 30

Lunch = 268 calories
2 slices Grandma Sycamore Bread (yay for trips to Utah) - 180
Peanut Butter - 1/2 TBS - 48
Homemade Rasp Jam 1 TBS - 40

Dinner = 494 calories
2 slices homemade cheese Pizza - 364
1 Cup 1% Milk - 130

Snacks = 235
1/2 Roll - 95 (I was really hungry right before dinner and so I grabbed a roll, but it didn't taste very good so I threw away the rest)
Skinnycow Icecream Sandwich - 140

Total Calories Consumed = 1097
Calories Burned while walking - 297

I am still fighting this cold and my throat still hurts, I know that I am under again so I might eat a little bit more tonight, or maybe drink some OJ but Im not sure, Im just not very hungry.  I also need to add more veggies and fruit to my days, so tomorrow I am planning on going grocery shopping and getting some strawberries, more melon, and some veggies.  I hope I start feeling better cause this cold totally stinks!  Thank you ladies for doing this diet and blog with me,it has really helped me make better food choices this past week!  I love calorie counting cause I don't feel deprived!!  Keep up the great work ladies!  I can't wait to see all of our bikini pictues :)
