First of all, I find it REALLY rude that Katie and Heidi would dare to walk without me. :( I feel so betrayed! Hahaha! No, really...I died a little inside. I wish I were there SO MUCH!! I miss you guys like crazy.
Secondly, I'm not sure why I'm finding it so difficult to write a short blurp each day but for some reason it's been worked out better for me to do small batches every few days. I'll find my groove-I plomise! :)
Day 8-
I thought today was my back to normal day and it did start out really well. But by the time dinner rolled around, I wasn't feeling so hot and just wanted something small. Well, small in size but wowza on the calories. I used to crush thru at LEAST one roll of Ritz crackers without a second thought. They are so freaking yummy to me! But they are so fattening. :(
Day 9-
I went grocery shopping yesterday so I was excited at all of my new possibilities! I used to love eating Kix as a kid but haven't really given it much thought for a long time. But at the store, I was pretty surprised when I was looking at the nutrition facts on each of the cereal boxes. Some of the ones I love are really calorie heavy. But Kix...man...you can have two cups and still be less than the calories for one serving of fruit loops! They're a little bland but they fill you up so I'm okay with that. I forgot to grab some almond milk-Katie and Heidi have been talking about using it with their oatmeal and I really wanted to try it! Shoot!
My head cold turned into a chest cold and when my throat hurts, my go-to comfort meal isn't chicken noodle soup like normal people. I like egg drop soup. It was so soothing and really low on calories! I ate the entire pot of soup and it only came to 90 calories!
Day 10-
Ironically I felt almost back to normal sickness-wise but it was a weird eating day. No pics or calories counted today. We had back-to-back showings on our home (c'mon, baby, sell already!!) which meant I had to haul some buns and CLEAN like a mad woman, so breakfast was non-existant. While we drove around for an hour during that time, we ate out at good ol' Mickey-D's. I ate a dollar menu skanky cheeseburger (I love these) and three of Norrie's chicken nuggets and a handful of fries. Nothing really super crazy. But I was a little mad that I threw the calories on that since you could tell that everything had been sitting there for a while and wasn't super fresh. Dangit if I'm going to eat badly, I want it to be worth it in the taste department! :)
Egg drop soup sounds fabulous! And much lower cal.
ReplyDeleteFor doing the daily posts I find that it's easier for me to start one at the beginning of the day but keep it in draft mode as I add what I've eaten throughout the day. Getting food pictures from my phone to the computer is an extra step I've given up on, so if I'm feeling proud of myself and need to share a visual I'll just text it :)
