Heidi's Day 1

Hi, my name is Heidi and I'm a sugar addict. I've been trying to get back into good habits for a few months now and I'm so happy to be doing this with two of the raddest girls I know, Katie and Caitie! I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of you too :) I'll post more about myself in the future but here's what my day looked like: 

BREAKFAST:
Grabbed an orange and ate it in the car on the way to a doctor appointment

Resisted massive amounts of temptation at my grandma's house (ground zero for soda, ice cream, candy and chips) But all I did was lick the ice cream spoon out of habit after making my daughter a cone!

LUNCH: 
Deli turkey and avocado on sprouted whole grain bread with carrots

DINNER:
Pasta with sugar free red sauce and steamed edamame

Now that it's late I'm totally feeling the sugar cravings coming on but happy that there's no headache (yet...) so I'm going to go have some berries and stevia in plain Greek yogurt. And drink my sugar detox water! It totally helps with the headaches I get from withdrawals. Here's the recipe:
In a pitcher of water add 4 lemon or orange slices, 5-6 cucumber slices, 3-4 pineapple slices, and 8-10 mint leaves (crushed in your fingers to release the oils) Shake or stir. Can be refreshed once.
